Solo Menari 24 Jam 2014 (Solo Dance 24 Hours 2014): The Colourful Solo in a Gracefully Contemporary Dances

Surakarta, Indonesia- Taking part in the commemoration of World Dance Day, Solo City (officially known as Surakarta) held Solo Menari 24 Jam 2014 (Solo Dance 24 Hours 2014). Solo Menari 24 Jam 2014 was held at Solo Grand Mall, Solo Paragon Mall, International Airport Adi Sumarmo, and Solo Square Mall.

Enjoy the gracefully contemporary dances from across Indonesia, and also three other dance groups from Singapore, the Netherlands and Malaysia. This year’s festival suggested different concept with the climax ceremony held along the Jalan Jenderal Sudirman, Surakarta, Central Java, Indonesia.

Featuring more than 500 dancers from several dance academies in Solo City, Bima Sakti dance – directed by Jonet Sri Kuncoro – successfully attracted thousands of spectators from across the city that day. The dance was awesome, full of important message about incorporating the love of dance to the soul of every single youth in the city.

The dance performed a lot of young dancers, from the ages of 5 to 15, with two main figures in the colossal dance were performed by the city mayor, FX Hadi Rudyatmo and the vice-mayor Ahmad Purnomo.
